EDITORIAL GUIDELINES FOR PREPARING MANUSCRIPTS FOR THE NATO SCIENCE SERIES
-
The total number of pages should not be less then 200 pages and preferably not exceed 500 pages.
-
Please ensure that the title of the book is short and to the point. Full reference to the Institute/Workshop can be given in the subtitle.
-
Contributors should be informed about the number of pages they may use (even numbers).
-
The editor should distribute instructions for preparing an article, Consent to Publish & Transfer of Copyright forms, and Data Base Entry sheets three months in advance of the Institute/Workshop.
-
Contributors should be given a very firm deadline for submitting their hardcopy and photocopy (with underlined keywords for the index), their signed Consent to Publish & Transfer of Copyright form and completed Data Base Entry sheet.
-
The manuscript pages of each article should be numbered in the upper right hand corner starting with the first page of the first article. Each article is to start on a right hand page (odd number); any blank pages should also be numbered. The editor should paginate the manuscript throughout.
-
The editor should compile the index, using the provisional numbers as indicated under
item 6.
-
Please note that in the printed books colour photographs are only accepted against payment. In the electronic version colour photographs are free.
-
The standard resolution for figures we advise is 300 dpi for grayscales and (colour) photos, and 600 dpi for line art.
